Hanuman Ansh 2: Release Date, Story, Cast and Everything We Know So Far

Few films in 2026 have had a stranger journey than Hanuman Ansh. It opened quietly, spread through word of mouth, and became a surprise hit. Naturally, the first question audiences are asking is whether Hanuman Ansh 2 is coming and when. Let us have a look at what is confirmed from what is speculation.

What Is Hanuman Ansh?

Hanuman Ansh is a Hindi-language biographical film written, directed and produced by Vishal Chaturvedi. It is described as the first instalment of a trilogy, based on his book Divine Detour: That Changed My Life, about the life of Neem Karoli Baba. The title roughly means “a fragment or descendant of Hanuman,” a reference to the devotion that defined the saint’s life.

The film is a spiritual drama rather than a mythological spectacle. It follows a grieving boy who goes looking for God and ends up devoting his life to serving others.

Is Hanuman Ansh 2 Confirmed?

Yes. Producer Anupriya Nagar has said the makers will not disappoint audiences after the first film’s unexpectedly strong response. That fits the original film’s ending, which hints at a sequel.

The makers have not yet shared a shooting schedule or a theatrical plan.

Hanuman Ansh 2 Release Date

There is no official release date yet. As of early September 2026, the makers had announced neither a release date nor a release year.

If you see a social media post or a video claiming an exact date, treat it as a rumour until the production team announces it. Because the first film is billed as part of a trilogy, a fairly long gap between instalments would not be surprising.

What Will the Story of Hanuman Ansh 2 Be?

The plot has not been revealed. We can make a reasonable guess from the franchise’s structure:

• The first film introduces Neem Karoli Baba’s early life and the beginning of his spiritual journey.
• The sequel is expected to keep exploring his life and spiritual experiences, though the makers have not said which period or incidents it will cover.
• A trilogy format suggests each part will cover a different phase of his life.

Treat any detailed “leaked plot” with caution until it comes from the makers.

Cast: Who Could Return?

Shobhinav Satya is credited as Neem Karoli Baba in the first film, alongside Chandan Anand, Rishi Pathak, Udaysinh Rajput, Vihaan Shedge and Purnima Tiwari. No cast has been announced for Hanuman Ansh 2, and that includes the lead. Fans hope the lead actor continues, but it isn’t confirmed.

Will the Budget Be Bigger?

Not necessarily. Nagar has stressed keeping the simplicity and rawness of the original, noting that the first film was planned at roughly ₹2 crore and that a much larger budget might have changed its character. So the sequel may stay grounded rather than chase spectacle.

Why Did the First Film Succeed?

The film opened on about 250 screens and earned roughly ₹90 lakh in its first week. It then grew through word of mouth and was eventually called a surprise box office success.

Its story is also unusual. The producer, Anupriya Nagar, was only 21 and had no prior filmmaking experience. She put in money she had saved from part-time work in the UK, hoping to introduce Neem Karoli Baba’s story to younger audiences.

A note on box office numbers: Reported totals vary a lot by source. One trade-based report put the India net at about ₹122 crore by Day 31, while another listing shows a much higher lifetime figure. Check a trusted trade tracker for current numbers.

What to Expect From Hanuman Ansh 2

Based on the makers’ public comments, you can reasonably expect:

1. A spiritual, character-driven tone rather than heavy action.
2. A continuation of Neem Karoli Baba’s life story, likely with a wider release than the first film got.
3. Heightened curiosity. The first film had to build awareness slowly, while the sequel arrives with an audience already waiting.
